Living as an Inuit Print E-mail

iglu-dorf-tirolPeople who are resistant to cold temperatures can spend a night in the Igloo-Village.

Kühtai – There is no heater in that kind of hotel rooms. In the Igloo-Village in Kühtai there is a heavy frost, but people are in high spirits. In 2020m romantic and adventurous people can spend a night in one of the 14 igloos. The “new” Inuit sleep on an airbed with a layer of sheepskin and in a warm winter down sleeping bag. The temperatures are about 0 degrees. A very romantic night will have those 2 persons who are sleeping in a Romantic Igloo.

The ice is melting by sharing a bottle of good Prosecco. Dinner and breakfast are included just as the use of the outdoor Jacuzzi. Additionally you can book various activities. Such as a snowshoe trip and going downhill with the sledge.

Spending the night in ice and snow is very popular with tourists and locals. Viktor Zoller is happy about the situation:”Since our opening in December we had 600 overnight stays. People are coming from all over.” It´s not recommended to spend more than one night in the Igloo. That´s but Inuit business.
